Your Launch Year is anchored in three modes of learning: contemplation, connection, and real-world exploration. As you move through them, you’ll grow your ability to navigate any environmentβ€”from familiar to foreign.

There are no grades here. You pass by daring to show up, stretching yourself, and growing.

Contemplation

Each week we’ll provide opportunities to practice bringing your mind, body, and heart togetherβ€”through meditation, somatics, breathwork, nature practices, and more. These practices help you shift from feeling anxious to feeling grounded.

Early on, you’ll be introduced to many modes of practice. Over time, you choose which ones resonate, and go deeper.

You’ll also have space for your own spiritual formation, whatever your faith, beginning with digital detoxes and retreats. These experiences help you get still enough to hear the sound of the genuine in yourself.

Connection

Our daily gatherings anchor learning in relationships, not just content. You’ll learn relational skills like trustworthiness, care, and repair, and the art of being fully present. Forming authentic connections will help you shift from feeling alone to being accompanied.

Initially, connection deepens within the Fellowship itself. Over time, it expands outward to include your friends, family, neighborhoods, ancestry, and beyond.

Exploration

Our assignments ask you to go out in the world and exploreβ€”to learn through lived experiences and shift from control to curiosity. We approach it as a team, encouraging each other along the way, asking for help when we need it, and offering help when we can.

A big part of your Launch Year explorations will involve travel. We’ll start with a brief solo retreat and in-person, regional gatherings. Eventually, you will travel to a foreign place and live there for four months. You’ll learn to navigate uncertainty, embrace serendipity,  and to stay long enough to let the people and places change you.
