Intuition

Cultivating inner knowing

A question currently animating me about the inner life/spirit is:

What does happiness really mean to me? How do I balance discovering my own happiness while maintaining others ?

November 6, 2025

A question currently animating me about the outer world/universe/multiverse is:

Does happiness mean living in ignorance?

November 6, 2025

The practices I’m finding most helpful at the moment are:

Time in Nature

A moment I noticed my inner light kindled this month was:

Having unique experiences through connecting with locals

A moment I noticed my inner light dwindled this month was:

Measuring helping at home while being fully present where I am now

Courage

Aligning action

Assumptions I'm examining right now are:

Happiness

November 6, 2025

I originally assumed:

I don’t really know what I used to think, but I think I based happiness very much off how I was feeling in the moment

November 6, 2025

These assumptions are changing:

Now I sense it’s difficult to measure how happy you feel, if there are people who you care about who are not. Is happiness based on your lifestyle and what you enjoy doing? Or seeing the people you care about enjoying life? Or many factors?

A moment I stepped out of my comfort zone this month was:

Trusting people who I didn’t know, of course carefully

Compassion

Engaged Empathy

Something that is helping me build trusting relationships here is:

Breakout rooms, friendship roulette - having conversations in smaller groups!

Being intentionally away from technology and distractions has taught me:

Has reminded me to take things slow. I always feel like I have to do something, but I can take time to just sit

I really really love reading your travel stories, it's truly inspiring the way you approach traveling, honoring communities, learning from them. Stories like this help move from the "tourist" mindset and deeply connect with a new place!

Potosí mines!

Oct 27, 2024

Potosí is a major colonial-era silver supplier for Spain, a mine where many people died. When I visited, I was in a restaurant and was speaking to some locals who took me to a mine worker to show me the mines. He gave me a hat, and a torch and took me about 5 floors deep into this crazy mine. It was such a unique and amazing experience.
