Intuition

Cultivating inner knowing

A question currently animating me about the inner life/spirit is:

Are my goals centered around proving my worth to others, or do they solely align with ambitions/dreams I have for myself.

A question currently animating me about the outer world/universe/multiverse is:

With my dual deaf and hearing identity, do I belong with the hearing world (earth) or in outer space (Deaf world), which of these spaces make me feel like I am home?

The practices I’m finding most helpful at the moment are:

Prayer,Journaling,Meditation,Creating Music/Art,Rest,Time in Nature

A moment I noticed my inner light kindled this month was:

Celebrating my 19th birthday with my family. Reaching the milestone of another year of life, reminded me of the value and fragility of life. Although I am not exactly where I want to be, I know I can at least rejoice that I can breathe, jump, and play without limitation.

A moment I noticed my inner light dwindled this month was:

September 21st marked the fourth death anniversary of my mother. My heart experienced a mix of bittersweet feelings. I was happy my mother was finally in peace and no longer in pain, but I grieved that I would never get the chance to share more mother-daughter bonding memories

Courage

Aligning action

Assumptions I'm examining right now are:

Success

September 30, 2025

I originally assumed:

I used to think that I needed to study in a university abroad to live up to my full potential and be perceived as successful by the people around me.

September 30, 2025

These assumptions are changing:

Now I sense that my self-worth is not attached to whether or not I study in a university institution outside of the African continent. My self-worth is not determined by external validation or achievements, but by the quality and merit of my character.

September 30, 2025

A moment I stepped out of my comfort zone this month was:

I have been experiencing a large amount of indecisiveness about the degree I want to study in the future, and this month I took a leap of faith by considering majors in healthcare outside of medicine, and this subsequently kindled a passion and interest for nursing.

Compassion

Engaged Empathy

Something that is helping me build trusting relationships here is:

When I was grieving my mother’s death anniversary last week, Ivis sent me an encouraging and uplifting message that really made me feel seen and validated.
