Cultivating inner knowing
A question currently animating me about the inner life/spirit is:
Who has the right to dream? Is that democratic?

A question currently animating me about the outer world/universe/multiverse is:
How can I use my 'lucid dreams' as a source of hope?

A moment I noticed my inner light kindled this month was:
I took part in a national grassroots movement against a criminal attempt to approve a Constitutional Amendment Bill (PEC), which would shield political figures from being tried without their partners' permission. After a massive civil engagement, the PEC was banned.

A moment I noticed my inner light dwindled this month was:
My family has been struggling financially, and in recent days, they've been giving me responsibilities that I unfortunately can't fulfil. A feeling of impotence and annoyance overwhelmed me. My parents haven't been understanding and they've been demanding a lot from me.

I originally assumed:
I used to think I wasn't as lucky as 1 year ago; I used to think I wasn't that good at the things I was pursuing.

These assumptions are changing:
Now I assume that "lucky" should be interpreted as "better prepared" for that experience 1 year ago, as well as I think confidence should be embraced as a feeling that is not linear and doesn't disqualify you when you are going through a low season.

A moment I stepped out of my comfort zone this month was:
I usually avoid writing about topics that deeply affect me, but in the process of writing about what hurts me, I was able to reframe that discomfort. Transforming pain into challenge, challenge into opportunity, and opportunity into growth.

Magical Moments
feeding body and soul
Ilhéus, Bahia

activism gives me a sense of worth and importance within myself. crossing km far away, to ground in a city willing to advocate, create bonds and co-create a space to discuss and impact education made my days in ilhéus the greatest ever.
by august 29-31, connection, people and purpose fed my body and soul. my body was fed with shared meals, in the presence of students from all the cities in my state, bahia, all together motivated by the wish to reclaim improvement, dignity and the right to their bodies to exist. my soul was fed by the sense of "i'm not alone," the drums, the shouted songs reverberating everywhere and the human warmth were all things that set this experience apart.
