Intuition

Cultivating inner knowing

A question currently animating me about the inner life/spirit is:

How do I continue nurturing the small moments of joy, presence, and authenticity within me so that I can grow into the person I am meant to be?

November 30, 2025

A question currently animating me about the outer world/universe/multiverse is:

How does the world around me shift when I change internally?

The practices I’m finding most helpful at the moment are:

Meditation,Time in Nature,Rest,Yoga

A moment I noticed my inner light kindled this month was:

When I attended events organized by South Sudanese students and discovered our rich cultures, my inner light rekindled with pride and curiosity. Trying new things, like padel, exploring Rwanda, and making friends reminded me of my courage to embrace new spaces.

A moment I noticed my inner light dwindled this month was:

There were moments when the new environment made me feel uncertain and overwhelmed, but these challenges reminded me that growth isn’t always smooth. They pushed me to reconnect with myself through yoga, reflection, and gratitude.

Courage

Aligning action

Assumptions I'm examining right now are:

Impact,Leadership,Happiness,Time/Attention

November 30, 2025

I originally assumed:

I used to think growth required major achievements or life-changing moments to feel real and meaningful.

November 30, 2025

These assumptions are changing:

Now I sense that change begins quietly within me, through small joys, new experiences, and choosing to stay open. These subtle shifts are building the person I’m becoming.

A moment I stepped out of my comfort zone this month was:

I stepped out of my comfort zone when I played padel for the first time, explored unfamiliar places in Rwanda, and attended events with South Sudanese students I had never met before. Each moment pushed me to be braver, more open, and more confident.

Compassion

Engaged Empathy

Something that is helping me build trusting relationships here is:

Being open to learning from others, asking for support when I need it, and showing genuine gratitude, just as I did with Makuei, are helping me build trusting and supportive relationships in this new environment.

Being intentionally away from technology and distractions has taught me:

The importance of being with yourself. I realized that there’s a inner voice that needs to be given chance to shine away from technology.

Gratitude

Peers I'm grateful for:

John Makuei Bath Madut

Thank you, Makuei, for making my transition to Kigali easier and more meaningful. You helped me find housing, guided me through the city, and created a sense of safety and belonging before I learned to navigate things on my own. I’m truly grateful.

Passport renewal

Sep 19, 2025

I went to the migration office to check on my passport, frustrated after 8 days of silence since I submitted my documents. To my surprise, I found it had already been processed.
