Magical moments

After weeks of procrastination, I found my inspiration within. Hosted a poetry workshop on labels and identity that drew record attendance in 7 languages. Living isn't a theorem to solve—it's a situation to experience.

The Camino was life-changing, teaching me home is found in connections and inner peace. After 397km, I discovered friends, strength, and resilience. Thanks to The Flight School for this transformative journey—the walk continues...

After facing my fear of drowning, I finally learned to swim. The key wasn't effort but surrender—trusting the water and myself. Learning to hold just enough breath instead of fighting against the water taught me to let go of what I cannot control.

Lost in Bangkok, I found connection with a 75-year-old monk who invited me to pray, taught me Buddhist practices, and made me his disciple for a morning ritual. Walking the city at dawn, watching people give despite having little, I realized travel isn't about making a difference—it's about exploring with an open heart.

During Sexual Assault Awareness Month, I reflect on all survivors seeking justice. At a conference on ending child marriage in Niger, my role as secretary opened my eyes to how tradition silences young girls. This experience strengthened my desire to pursue media and communications to amplify overlooked voices and speak out against what too many remain silent about.

For three weeks in Valparaíso, Chile, I volunteered with Valpo Surf Project. My host family provided community, celebrating my birthday away from home. Exploring beyond tourist spots and finding meaning in solo time, I connected with Valpo's progressive spirit and California-like familiarity, creating deep bonds before continuing my journey.

After a month in India, I'm happier working with Inqui-Lab teaching tech to low-income kids and building Tvarita Arts' website. I'm rediscovering creativity through crafts while learning to embrace solitude. Initially overwhelmed by India's chaos, I've found beauty by opening my heart to the experience.

Hiking Panama's Volcano Barú solo at midnight, I faced unexpected challenges when my lights failed in the darkness. In a moment of fear, I found peace under brilliant stars. A kind stranger named Guillermo provided a flashlight and hot chocolate at the freezing summit. After 11 exhausting hours, I completed my bucket list adventure—grateful for the experience and for surviving.
