What have you been going through and experiencing?

Traveling with another TFS fellow and meeting new people. I’ve been working closely with youth in Accra, which has been grounding and eye-opening at the same time. Being surrounded by Ghanaian art, culture, and daily life has made everything feel more real and intentional.

Intuition

Cultivating inner knowing

A question currently animating me about the inner life/spirit is:

How do I trust my intuition more when I’m in unfamiliar spaces? I’ve been in so many new situations lately, and I’m learning to rely less on overthinking and more on what feels right in the moment.

April 30, 2026

A question currently animating me about the outer world/universe/multiverse is:

What does it actually mean to create opportunities that last? Being here and working with young people has made me think about impact beyond short-term support, and what it takes to build something that continues without you.

The practices I’m finding most helpful at the moment are:

Journaling,Creating Music/Art

April 30, 2026

A moment I noticed my inner light kindled this month was:

Connecting with the kids in Accra and seeing their excitement when they talk about their interests. Also just having genuine conversations with new people where everything feels easy and open.

April 30, 2026

A moment I noticed my inner light dwindled this month was:

Working through trust in new and old relationships and differentiating between overthinking and critical thinking.

Courage

Aligning action

Assumptions I'm examining right now are:

Happiness

April 30, 2026

I originally assumed:

I used to think happiness was something you reach after everything lines up: when you’re successful, settled, and things feel stable. I thought it was tied to big moments or achievements, and that I had to be doing well in order to feel it.

April 30, 2026

These assumptions are changing:

Now I’m realizing happiness is a lot more present and situational. It shows up in small moments, like conversations, being around people who feel real, or just feeling connected to what I’m doing.

April 30, 2026

A moment I stepped out of my comfort zone this month was:

Traveling and building a routine in a completely new environment while working with people I had never met before. Also putting myself out there socially and being open to new connections instead of staying in my comfort zone.

April 30, 2026

Compassion

Engaged Empathy

Something that is helping me build trusting relationships here is:

Stepping out of my comfort zone.
