What have you been going through and experiencing?
Lots of flow but also lots of struggle. A bit of disconnect, but also deep pools of presence. I think I’m balancing duality better, and being honest when I’m slipping to a place I don’t like. When I notice, it’s getting easier for me to recognize that I want to snap out of it.

A question currently animating me about the inner life/spirit is:
What are the pillars and values of who I am?

A question currently animating me about the outer world/universe/multiverse is:
Are there NGOs that build long term sustainable energy options for people?

Assumptions I'm examining right now are:
Time/Attention
April 2, 2026
I originally assumed:
I used to think that time and attention (and also agency) were all completely fluid things that I could control if I only built the discipline for them.
April 2, 2026
These assumptions are changing:
Now I sense that these things are only pushed and pulled in directions by other passions. They are especially absent when one is lacking passion.

A moment I stepped out of my comfort zone this month was:
I learned to surf!

Zeiad your friendship has rapidly become one of the most important to me this year. I feel as though I know and trust you so much, but it’s strange because we haven’t ever really met. I’m so proud of how far we have come, and I’m so excited for where we will go.

I know this plan has been changing a lot, and I’m sorry I haven’t been the most responsive or consistent planning partner. You’ve been super easy to plan with and I feel like you catch a lot of the holes in my plan and help me be more prepared. XOXO

Magical Moments
Walk home
Chapada Diamantina

Jan 25, 2026
This video isn’t a magical moment exactly, but it represents a greater one. I went on a hike with very very poor planning, little food, and no way home. When we finished the hike, there was no one that would give us a ride because it was almost dark. This day, I ended up hiking a total of 32 miles. Around 12 of those where the walk home. I got home around 1 in the morning, 5 blisters, I was barely walking. I don’t really know how to describe how magical this was. It was awful. Several times I tried to cry but couldn’t. I don’t have experiences often that rock me to my core, but there were so many level of myself that completely fell away and I caught a glimpse of who I really am.

I have never been fully wowed by a building before. I always immerse myself in the nitty gritty details of the history and architecture and see the beauty in its life and creation. In this theater, I was taken all the way back. I found myself just sitting, looking at the stained glass ceiling, velvet seats, marble floors, and big spherical performance hall and just wishing I was involved in any kind of performance art. I saw myself in a ballgown, a night on the town. I yearned for the days when I thought I would peruse a career in acting. The magic of this building is in the acoustics. Hearing someone play the piano in that space took me out of my body. I literally sat gaping.
