What have you been going through and experiencing?
How can I tend to what animates me without turning it into obligation or performance?

A question currently animating me about the inner life/spirit is:
How can I tend to what animates me without turning it into obligation or performance?

A question currently animating me about the outer world/universe/multiverse is:
How does my relationship to belongings affect my sense of freedom, presence, and openness to the experiences life offers me?

A moment I noticed my inner light kindled this month was:
Living the month of January alongside my closest friends felt like a sacred gift. I dressed in drag, wandered freely, watched films together, shared meals, went to the beach, and in doing so, created memories I will carry with me forever.

A moment I noticed my inner light dwindled this month was:
I failed to show up for a close friend when she needed me. Even while sharing a home in São Paulo, I was absent, especially on her birthday. After apologizing, I noticed feelings of impostorship. Being a friend also means recognizing when we deeply hurt those we love.

I originally assumed:
I used to assume that having all my belongings with me, especially when traveling, was essential to feeling prepared. I believed that carrying everything I might need gave me a sense of control and the ability to handle whatever came my way.
February 1, 2026
These assumptions are changing:
My assumptions are shifting toward sufficiency. I’m learning to carry only what I need, and realizing that I don’t need much. I’m noticing how consumerism pulls me away from lived experiences and reduces me to things rather than presence.

A moment I stepped out of my comfort zone this month was:
I stepped out of my comfort zone by choosing backpacking instead of more comfortable ways of traveling, welcoming challenge into this next chapter of my life.

Engaged Empathy
Something that is helping me build trusting relationships here is:
The current chapter at The Flight School is helping me build a trusting relationship. The electives, the animated life course, and having 1:1s with the coaches have been very supportive so far.

I really appreciated your insights during our discussion on reimagining education. Your perspective, together with Tristan's, on nurturing curiosity and students at the centre of learning, added great depth. It reminded me how powerful learning becomes when driven by passion.

Magical Moments
feeding body and soul
Ilhéus, Bahia

activism gives me a sense of worth and importance within myself. crossing km far away, to ground in a city willing to advocate, create bonds and co-create a space to discuss and impact education made my days in ilhéus the greatest ever.
by august 29-31, connection, people and purpose fed my body and soul. my body was fed with shared meals, in the presence of students from all the cities in my state, bahia, all together motivated by the wish to reclaim improvement, dignity and the right to their bodies to exist. my soul was fed by the sense of "i'm not alone," the drums, the shouted songs reverberating everywhere and the human warmth were all things that set this experience apart.
